How Upper Crust Shows Up at Camp and Greek Life Conferences

We Don’t Just Show Up at Your Door. We Show Up in Your Industry.

There’s a phrase we use a lot at Upper Crust: We Show Up. It’s not just something we say about what happens in the kitchen. It’s how we approach everything including the conferences, trade shows, and industry gatherings where the people we serve spend their time.

Every year, our team travels to camp conferences and Greek life events across the country to actually be present in the communities we serve. To learn what’s keeping directors up at night, what’s exciting camp administrators this season, what challenges fraternity and sorority housing advisors are navigating.

A Booth That Feels Like Us

If you’ve ever stopped by an Upper Crust booth, you know it doesn’t feel like a typical vendor table. At camp conferences, we set up around a fire pit with s’mores and marshmallow roasting sticks because if we’re going to talk about camp food, we should feel like camp.

It’s intentional. The experience at the booth reflects the experience we deliver on-site: warm, thoughtful, and a little more than you expected.

Why In-Person Still Matters

In an industry built on relationships and trust, there’s no substitute for face time. The conversations that happen at a conference over a s’more, at a crowded vendor hall, or during a breakout session are the ones that lead to real partnerships. They’re where we get to hear directly from the people doing this work every day, and where we get to share what we’ve learned from serving hundreds of communities across the country.

Showing Up Is Part of the Job

The food service industry is relationship-driven, and relationships are built in person. We take seriously the responsibility of being present where our partners and prospective partners are not just when a contract is on the table, but year-round, in the rooms and at the events that matter to the communities we serve.

Whether you’ve seen us at a camp industry conference or a Greek housing event, we hope the experience left an impression. That’s always the goal. Not just to be seen, but to be remembered as a team that genuinely cares about this work.

If we haven’t had a chance to connect yet, we’d love to change that. Find us at an upcoming event, or reach out directly.

We’re always happy to start the conversation.
