Summer is upon us and many students are heading home to spend some quality time with their families. But not everybody! Whether you’re enrolled in summer courses or you just want to hang out at the chapter house, it’s important that you keep yourself busy and active. While there are many great clubs and organizations that you can join, we’re going to be talking about the benefits of joining an intramural sports team in this post.

We know that you’ve formed close bonds with your fraternity brothers or sorority sisters, but what’s wrong with making even more friends on campus? Playing intramural sports is a great opportunity for socializing and hanging out with your peers. And you don’t have to sign up alone! Get a group of your friends and join a team together.

Only a small percentage of high school athletes end up playing the sport that they love when they get to college. Intramural leagues provide you with an opportunity to keep playing your favorite sport and maintain the skills that you had in high school. Do you have a sport that you’ve always wanted to try? These leagues are a great way to try something new.

College is a great time, but, as we all know, it can also get pretty stressful from time to time. You deserve a break from your studies and getting some exercise is a great way to relieve the stress that comes from your studies, especially if you’re taking classes over the summer break.
